Yogi power juice

So, I would be lying if I said that I got up every morning to a glass of fresh pressed juice…but, I have been on quite a kick lately. I don’t know if it is the warmer weather, or the feeling of needing to be “pool time ready” at any moment. However, I have to say, I am feeling amazing!

I realize there is a controversy over juicing versus smoothies. I, personally, partake in both fairly regularly. Smoothies, when I need more fiber & fullness. Juices when I need a nice mix of veggies & fruit to start my day. I think they both have their benefits, and I just let my body decide.

Today’s juice recipe included the following:

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 huge handful of kale
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 golden beet
  • 1 inch piece of peeled ginger
  • And a squeeze of half a lemon at the end

You can control the sweetness by adding or subtracting the apples. I like to play around with whatever is in the fridge that day.
